DAYS 1-7 TROMSØ TO SVALBARD Cruising toward the Svalbard archipelago, call at Bear Island, a birder’s paradise where steep, high cliffs are frequented by a plethora of birds including Atlantic puffins. Heading to Spitsbergen, explore deep fjords and prominent glaciers, view fascinating geological formations, search for polar bears, and discover a variety of seabirds and seals. Shore walks give you a closer look at the flora and wildlife in the spectacular northern region of the archipelago. DAYS 8-15 SCORESBY SUND, GREENLAND Scattered in the remote bays and smaller fjords of magnificent Scoresby Sund are old Inuit settlements, and musk ox, Arctic fox, lemmings, ptarmigan, barnacle geese, and snowy owls roam the lower slopes of the mountains.
